The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) on Friday announced its most- awaited mega Housing Scheme 2014 to be launched on September 1. The scheme will offer over 25,000 flats in various categories while 80% of the properties are reserved for Delhiites. Offers flats ranging from Rs. 5.40 lakhs to 1.2 crore, in categories of EWS, LIG, MIG, HIG, Janta flats and one room apartments.
Balvinder Kumar the Vice Chariman of DDA says “We are offering 25,034 flats in the 2014 scheme out of which 22,627 would be one-bed room apartments. Among others, 896 flats are constructed after old schemes and ensures that theses are livable with green technology and a depreciation cost of 1.25% annually will be deducted from their price.”
There is no limit of income for one bedroom apartment flats, any eligible person can apply for it and one bedroom flats are mostly located in Rohini, Narela and Dwarka, out of 896 newly-built flats, 512 are MIG flats and 384 Janta flats are located in Jasola, Vasant Kunj, Mukherjee Nagar, Kalyan Vihar and Moti Khan. The brochures or applicants for DDA Housing Scheme 2014 can be bought from 1st September and the last date to of form submission and registration is 9th October and the flats will be handed over by March 2015.
DDA will also create a corpus of Rs362 crore for the maintenance fund that will be transferred to RWAs and executive engineers, for use in for the next 30 years. In this regard Balvinder Kumar says “It will be an escrow account jointly managed by local resident welfare associations and a DDA executive engineer. Interest from the fund will be utilized for maintenance.”
The allotment of the houses will be decided by drawing lots and the final decision will be declared at the end of October.
