Metro Connectivity To For Yamuna Expressway City Approved




To improve the metro connectivity along Yamuna Expressway, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has agreed for the metro rail for Yanuma Expressway City and approved the metro rail project between the proposed metro station at Pari Chowk till Sector 18 and 20, which is the foremost residential sectors of the authority being developed, where over 21000 allotments have been done.

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will carry out the work for metro rail connectivity, while the the Board has approved Rs.300 crores for the project to be spent in 2014-15. The route is estimated to be ready in the next three years and the construction will start withing six weeks.

The total length of the Metro project is 29.70 kilometres and it will be run on 1433 gauge and will have 22 stations. It is said that around 6 km route will be in Greater Noida city and the rest in Yamuna Expressway City. The areas to be covered are Sectors 32, 51, 83, 101, 143, 147, Knowledge Park II, Pari Chowk, Sector Alpha, Delta and Knowledge Park IV and the Metro rail would start from Botanical Garden Metro station.

The Detailed Project Report (DPR) will be prepared by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation due to its expertise in functioning Metro rails, mentioning the cost of the project, passenger volume projections and project capability of normal growth and development.
Sanjeev Saran the CEO of Noida said that “Noida Authority is in the process of expanding the existing bus fleet of City Bus Service and for this authority would add 170 buses in its fold. For this Noida Authority would provide 40.5 crore to the State Transport Department. Out of 170 buses, 48 buses will be in the semi low-floor category while feeder buses will be made available at all metro stations of Noida city.”

He also declared to make one MW solar plant on the model adopted by Gujarat Government to make the region more environment friendly.
